{"id":838,"date":"2025-10-14T08:00:11","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T08:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ateliersfurrer.com\/?p=838"},"modified":"2025-10-14T13:30:38","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T13:30:38","slug":"malibu-life-enters-agreement-to-acquire-life-and-retirement-solutions-provider-truspire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ateliersfurrer.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/14\/malibu-life-enters-agreement-to-acquire-life-and-retirement-solutions-provider-truspire\/","title":{"rendered":"Malibu Life enters agreement to acquire life and retirement solutions provider TruSpire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malibu Life Holdings Limited has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire TruSpire Retirement Insurance Company, a Texas-domiciled provider of life and retirement solutions, and wholly-owned subsidiary of Mutual of America Life Insurance Company.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-185361 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"225\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.ateliersfurrer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/malibu-life-holdings-logo.jpg\">According to Malibu Life, its acquisition of TruSpire, which is licensed in 44 states, holds an AM Best B++ rating, offers an approved Fixed Indexed Annuity product, and maintains broad distribution through the independent agent channel, will enable the company to enter the direct annuity issuance business as early as the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The acquisition of TruSpire also reportedly includes a Bermuda-regulated reinsurer, which Malibu Life intends to maintain for future growth.<\/p>\n<p>The base purchase price for the acquisition, which is expected to close early in 2026 following regulatory approval and satisfaction of customary closing conditions, is $45 million.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel S.
