Westfield Specialty International, a specialty insurance provider, has strengthened its claims leadership with the appointment of Melanie Gilbert as Head of Third Party Claims.
Based in London, Gilbert will report to Katie MacGregor, Director of Operations (interim) and Head of Claims at Westfield Specialty International.
In her new role, Gilbert will oversee third-party claims across Westfield Specialty International’s diverse portfolio. She will lead a team of specialists managing complex, high-value claims, ensuring exceptional service for clients, and fostering strong relationships with key external stakeholders.
Gilbert brings over 15 years of legal and insurance expertise. She joins from Markel, where she served as Senior Counsel since 2020, and has previously held positions at Simmons & Simmons, StarStone Insurance, and CMS Cameron McKenna.
