Marsh McLennan names Kim Abildgaard as CEO of Denmark

Global insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh McLennan has promoted Kim Abildgaard to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its Denmark operation, effective October 1st, 2025.

marsh mclennan logoAbildgaard, who succeeds Dorothee Gnaedinger, most recently served as interim CEO of Denmark for the broking group, and will be based in Copenhagen, reporting to Peder Schauman, CEO of Marsh McLennan Nordics.

In his new role, Abildgaard will lead the implementation of global capabilities across Marsh McLennan’s four businesses – Marsh, Mercer, Guy Carpenter, and Oliver Wyman – to serve clients across Denmark.

Additionally, he will spearhead initiatives designed to deliver solutions and deepen local client impact.

Abildgaard has nearly 25 years of experience in the insurance and professional services sectors. Over the past four years, he led Mercer’s European career practice, driving growth and enabling collaboration across multiple countries.
