Zurich North America has announced the appointment of Matthew Moore as Executive Vice President – Head of Group Captives.

In his new role, Moore will be based in Chicago and report to Alex Wells, EVP & Head of Middle Market at Zurich North America.

The executive will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Zurich North America’s solutions and services for member-owned, agency and fronted captives.

He will also be working closely with captive consultants and captive boards to achieve these goals.

With 16 years of experience at The Hartford, Moore brings extensive experience to his new position. Since joining the company in 2009, he has held several roles, most recently as Head of Captives.

Commenting on Moore’s appointment, Wells said: “Matt’s ability to drive growth, build trusted relationships and lead high-performing teams positions him exceptionally well to lead our Group Captives business forward.”
